James Willie Knox

James Willie Knox, 91, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Fountains of the Albemarle in Tarboro. The funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Hamilton Baptist Church with Rev Delmus Ayers officiating; burial will follow at the Hamilton Cemetery.

Mr Know was born in Martin County on December 7, 1921. He was the son of the late James Henry and Mary Roberson Knox. He was a retired life insurance representative for Trans America/Monumental Life Insurance Company and a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church.

On November 27, 1940 her married Martha Lynch Knox who preceded him in death on September 15, 2006.

Survivors are his daughter Sue Knox Truitt and husband Robert of Franklinton, granddaughter Robin Truitt, and a sister Dean White of Winchester, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30-8:00 PM at the Hamilton Baptist Church.
