

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Community Christian Church with Archie Gilmer and Russell Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn Shifflett Mobley; daughters Lori Mobley Wynne and husband Junie of Williamston, and Dana Mobley White and husband Barry of Windsor; granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth White of Windsor; brother, J. Sheldon Mobley and wife Gloria; sister, Mary Lou Cullipher all of Williamston; and many nieces and nephews. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Leamon Mobley and Beulah Williams Mobley; and sister, Linda Gail Mobley Lilley.
Carroll was retired from the NC Highway Patrol with 14 years of service; and an Air Force Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ for many years, but later joined the Williamston Church of Christ where he served as an elder. Carroll loved bowling, golfing, spending time in the yard, riding his “scooter” with his biking buddies, and most of all spoiling his sweetheart, Hannah. Carroll loved his Lord and Savior and all his family at Williamston Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston and other times at the residence at 6524 Prison Camp Road.
