Kenneth Earl Meeks, 72, died Thursday October 6, 2011 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:30 PM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev Derek Bossolono officiating.
Kenneth was the son of the late Ira Juan and Allie Downs Meeks. He was a member of the Life Builders Church of God and a veteran of the United States Army. He was married to Ellen Peele Meeks who survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter Kim Gurganus of Williamston, step daughter Patricia Wells of Kinston, step sons Jesse Whitley of Robersonville, Alvin Whitley of Jamesville, and Tony Whitley of Williamston, 1 grandson, 7 step grandchildren, and 4 step great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence
