Mary Alice Reason

Mary Alice Hopkins Reason, 80, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Vidant Hospital in Greenville. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel in Williamston with Warren Grubbs and Clifford Britton officiating; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Reason was born April 23, 1935 in Martin County, daughter of the late Henry Lee and Lurlene Cherry Hopkins. She was retired from West Point Pepperell where she worked as a mechanic. She was a member of the Hamilton Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Daniel Reason in 2007, grandson Dan Wiggins, son George Michael Reason, brother Nick Hopkins, and sisters Annie Faye Etheridge and Bernice Haislip.

Survivors are daughters Angelene Wisniewski and husband Randy, Cindy Reason Wiggins and husband Keith, and Kay Jernigan and husband Wayne all of Williamston. And Sharon Reason Roebuck and husband Lemuel of Oak City, son Danny Reason and wife Debbie of Raleigh, grandchildren Dana Reason Evans, Mandy Scott, Beth Wisniewski, Matthew Wisnieswski, Jennifer Roebuck Baughn, Allison Roebuck, Brian Wiggins, Steven Jernigan, and Joshua Jernigan, and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-9:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 11307 NC Hwy 125
