Rachel Ayers Wynne

Rachel Ayers Wynne, 90, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Martin General Hospital. She was born March 16, 1922 daughter of the late Calvin and Mamie Rawls Ayers. She lived all her life in Bear Grass. On October 12, 1940 she married James Harry Wynne who preceded her in death in June of 2000. She worked on the farm and was known for her delicious meals.

Surviving are her sons, James Keith Wynne and wife Karen of the home, Johnny Wynne and wife Jackie of Apex, daughter Judy Brooks and husband Wayne of Greenville, grandsons Jason and Keith Wynne Jr, John and Alex Wynne, granddaughters Debbie and Carol Wynne and Susan Cooper, two step grandchildren Kenn and Sherry Brooks, and five great grandchildren.She had a special friend and caregiver Regina Corey.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev Candace Worth officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery and at the home 1385 Harry Ayers Road Williamston NC.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Bear Grass Presbyterian Church 6442 E Bear Grass Road, Williamston NC 27892.
