
Hospital. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Hamilton Baptist
Church with Rev. Brian Busch, Rev. Cashwell Shaw and Rev. Matthew Depuy officiating;
burial will follow at Hamilton Cemetery.
Sam Bullock was born on June 16, 1926 in Martin County. He was the son of the late
Albert B. and Daisy Mae Whitaker Bullock. He farmed in his earlier years and later went
to work for Everett-Matthews as a farm equipment salesman. Sam enjoyed serving as a
pastor for several churches when they needed an interim pastor. He was serving as pastor
of the New Hope Baptist Church here in Williamston at the time of his passing. He was a
veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the American Legion in Hamilton and
a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church.
On February 26, 1947 he married Ollie Hanell Bullock who survives. Survivors in
addition to his wife are a daughter Sandra Harrell and husband Jimmy of Tarboro, brother
Rick Bullock of Hamilton, sister Daisy Wynn of Hamilton, grandsons Michael Harrell
and wife Amy of Red Oak and Eric Harrell and wife Babs of Tarboro, great grandsons
Austin, Harrell, Ethan Harrell, Bronson Harrell and Jameson Harrell.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8:00 PM at the Hamilton Baptist Church
and other times at the residence 1660 Fort Branch Rd.
