Samuel Taylor

Samuel Stewart Taylor, 71, died Friday April 5, 2013 at Ridgewood Manor in Washington, N.C. The funeral service will be held Wednesday April 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Biggs Funeral Chapel in Williamston with Pastor Chris Watkins and Onnie Warren officiating; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.

He was the son of the late Asa Tom Taylor and Margaret Gurganus.

Samuel was employed by the NCDOT in the state lab. On September 8, 1968 he married Pat Holliday who survives. He was preceded in death by his uncles Dock Taylor and Les Taylor, aunts Lou Allie Peele, Dale Proseus, Faye Modlin , and Annie Jean Goddard.

He was survived by his wife Pat Holliday Taylor, Daughters, Donna Rhodes and husband Donnie of Dunn, Tracey Reason and husband Mitchell of Williamston, Sisters Betty Jean Alexander of Williamston, and Janie Taylor and husband Jimmy of Williamston, Half brother Tony Taylor and wife Kathy of Williamston, Half sister Iris Taylor of Wilmington, Grandchildren Aaron and Sarah Rhodes, Caroline and Bradley Reason, Uncle Jack Taylor And wife Sylvia.

The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston and other times at the home.
