Sharon Shackelford

Sharon was born on April 20, 1960 in Martin County. She was a quality control specialist with Burroughs Wellcome and a member of the Gold Point Church of Christ. On July 14, 2012 she married Tim Gardner who survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are sons Ashley Meeks of Winterville, Brooks Shackelford of Greenville, and David Cole Radford of Hugo, daughters Emily Meeks of Greenville, and Hailey Gardner of Jamesville, mother Carolyn Taylor of Greenville, father Brooks Mills & wife Jan of Hope Mills, sisters Gin Nelson of Greenville and Carolbrooks Mills of Parmele, brothers John Taylor of Robersonville and Jerry Taylor of Bethel, and grandchildren Mitch Grizzard II and Destiny Grizzard.

There will be a celebration of her life at 4:00 PM on Saturday at the home of Mike and Debra Whaley in Grifton.
