It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara "Barb" Cummins at the age of 81. Beloved mother of Lisa Uldrich, Ron and Ken (Karen) Cummins; mother-in-law of Wendy Cummins; dear partner of the late Ed Jacobi; dearest grandmother of Tara (Mark) Connelly, Jared, Jeffrey, Owen and Cory Cummins; great grandmother of Delta; sister of Betty (late Robert) Hunt, Sue (Dennis) Stark, Lee (Diane) Bongiovanni and the late Bud (Mert) Bongiovanni, Fred Bongiovanni, Elaine (Lenny) Vanderburgh and Charlie Bongiovanni, sister-in-law of Margo Bongiovanni, also survived by seventeen nieces and nephews.
Born in Buffalo NY, and raised in East Amherst, Barb often reminisced about her childhood and her time at Williamsville High School, where she bonded with her siblings and made lifelong friends. Barb enjoyed several hobbies including gardening, bowling, and curling with her close-knit group of friends. Saturdays were a special time for Barb, as she and her partner Ed gathered with the Camel Club creating memories she treasured throughout her lifetime.
Barb was not only a wonderful friend but also a remarkable cook. She often delighted her family with many signature recipes and loved to host dinners with family and friends. Christmas would not be complete without her famous Italian cookies.
Barb dedicated 40 years of her life to working at Tops Markets, where her friendly demeanor and genuine care for others made her a beloved figure in the community.
Family was the cornerstone of Barb’s life, and her greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren and great-grandchild grow up. She cherished every moment spent with them, instilling in them the values of love, kindness, and resilience.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Road, Williamsville, where prayers will be offered Thursday morning at 10:15.
