I have never met you ,but know your son Frank. He is a true inspiration to us all and you have raised one heck of 
man. We were saddened when frank spoke of your passing and wanted to take a few moments of prayer to honor you.

Aunt Betty, I can't stop thinking of you! Your passing has me re evaluating everything. I am just so shocked and so sad I can not seem to shake it.  I am devastated with grief.  Missing your presence here, and feeling selfish!  I didn't get to see you all the time, but had solace knowing your were here. I am stricken with anguish. Dear Frank and family,  I just loved the picture of Betty.  That's how I knew her.  First in high school and then as a neighbor.  Your son's tribute to her was spot on.  She would be so sad if someone hurt, even if she didn't know them.  She was always funny, so kind and giving.  I am sure it is hard to imagine life without her.  It will not be easy, but as time goes on, you will realize that you all have your own special angel to look down on you.  Take pride knowing by reading all these entries that she touch so many lives and so many people will keep her in their memories.  May God be at your side through these difficult times.  You are in our prayers.

Frank~ My sympathy in the loss of your wife. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Uncle Frank, Frankie & Family, Kevin & Family, I am so incredibly saddened by this terrible news.  We all grew up together share so many of the same memories because my Mom (Joann) and your beloved(wife)mother, were not just sisters but best friends. The need to talk to one another everyday at least 10 times. Living around the block from one another nearly our entire childhood, working for the same place for so many years.  My Aunt, was so special to me.  She had a personality that just jived with mine.  So many times how my stomach muscles would ache after talking to her because she was so funny.  She was one of a kind.  Because I moved away I did not get to see her as much, but we always talked.  I know God has given me a gift to have been in NY and be able to spend a few hours with my Aunt. The fact that she is gone rips at my heart.  Taken so young!! I am at a loss dwelling in my own sorrow to say anything comforting. I am sorry for that.  She will be so missed. 
Mom, I know your life now will be forever altered with your sister/best friend gone.  I will pray for all of us to get over such a huge loss. To all that knew her, loved her, laughed with her know this: You will never be able to think of her with out a smile, and then a good cry because she is gone.  We lost an angel. I love you Aunt Betty, I will miss you always. To everyone that loved her just as I did I am truly sorry for your loss as well. 
To Uncle Frank, Frank, and Kevin, My being so far away with so many to take care of has kept me from being there to mourn in a traditional fashion, with all of you, and to see her.  I want you to know and understand the anguish I carry due to this.  I am hurting no less I assure you, only more in fact, for not being able to hug each and everyone of you.  You may not see me but I am there in my heart.  Please forgive me for my absence, and know I tried so hard to get there. I will hug you all soon.

There are no words but know that Aunt Betty touched so many lives just by being the woman she was and being in our presence. At this most excruciating time words are not enough to ease the pain we all have for the loss we have suffered. However, we can stand together as the family we are and honor Aunt Betty. Family is what she stood for,and what mattered the most to her. We can learn by her example how to treat those that mean the world to us. We can be there to support and help each other in our time of sorrow. She has taught us so much, whether directly or indirectly and showed us her kindness. Although the pain of losing someone so dear never goes away, we can all rejoice in the fact that we are all better people because Aunt Betty was in our lives. 

Uncle Frank, Frankie, and Kevin again words can never ease your pain but know that we are a family united because of the love we have for Aunt Betty.

Frank, I have no idea what you must be going through in losing what I think is the single most important "Compass" in my own life.  I have learned that your mom was that to you as well, and with this HUGE loss comes so many layers of heartache. Please know my heart is open to giving you anything you might need during this time of incredible loss.  She will ALWAYS be with you everywhere!

I am so sorry to learn of Betty's passing. We worked together at Williamsville CSD years ago, and our paths crossed professionally throughout the years. Each time we spoke, we rekindled our friendship. Betty Jean will remain one of my most unforgettable characters. My sincere condolences to her family. God Bless!

It is so hard to believe that Aunt Betty is not with us anymore,  I am still in disbelief.  I will always cherish the times I spent with her and the many conversations, that to this day put a smile on my face.  Oh how i loved talking to Aunt Betty.  I am so sorry Uncle Frank, Frankie, and Kevin that you have to face this loss so soon, it doesn't seem fair.  Mom, Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Louise, and Uncle Peter... your lives are blessed for the time you shared with such a strong, funny and caring sister, hold the memories close to your heart and know that Aunt Betty is now rejoicing with Nanni, Grandpa Santo, and Uncle Sonny.  Rest in peace Aunt Betty, I love and miss you!

So sorry to hear of Betty's passing...Graduated from Mt St Joseph Academy with her...we were friends in High School and she will be missed be the rest of 171 from our class.  God Bless Her and Keep Her in His Loving Care !

How do you sign a "guestbook" for the most important woman that's ever been in your life? How do you thank someone in writing for making you all that you are, when you always thought you would have YEARS to tell and thank her in person? How do you assure her that every single tradition that she invented and passed to her two sons will be passed on for generations to come? How do you let her know that two babies keep going to the window saying Nonni, and two 6 year olds keep asking exactly WHERE heaven is, and how much longer do they have to wait to see Nonni? How do you tell your children they have to wait a long long time to see Nonni, as if that's a GOOD thing? How do you look at people in the eyes and smile, thanking them for condolences when your heart is ripping apart inside? That nobody understands that the bond we shared went way beyond words? That we could communicate with glances without having to say anything. How do you explain to the entire world that as nice, funny, and giving you always seemed, that they really didn't know that you were the single best human being on this planet? That NOBODY on this planet has a heart like you. That you would do ANYTHING for anyone. That you would cry for hours when you would see those less fortunate. That you would make sure that if you gave your two sons gifts, that the amount would be EXACT to the penny because you believed (you do for one that you would do for the other". That explained an envelope on Christmas for $1.32. It took SO long to have children, and I was blessed with two sets of twins that will be missing the absolute greatest grandmother that they could ever hope to have. How do I explain tears on Christmas? Emptiness on Thanksgiving (YOUR holidays). Who is going to make "Frankie's pumpkin pie"? I could go on and on asking how to do all these things now that you are gone. BUT then I remember something. You are not gone. You are everywhere. I can continue to communicate with you without words. I can shed a tear for others since we share the same heart. I can hug and kiss my kids double just for you. I can pass on every tradition and belief that you passed to us. They say death is selfish because the ones who hurt are those left behind, but those called to God are the lucky ones. Well then I am VERY selfish because I was NOT ready to let you go. I love you more thank I ever could have put into words, and every life that I touch through what I do? Is a direct result of how you raised me. You made a larger impact on this world than you even know. Heaven JUST became that much better!
