Carol D. Whitehead

Carol D. (nee DeWitte) Whitehead, of Williamsville, entered into rest on August 23, 2023 at age 98. Beloved wife of 67 years to William “Mr. Bill” Whitehead; loving daughter of the late Edward and Merle DeWitte; dear sister of Gwen Drake and the late Janice DeWitte; cherished aunt of Charley, Nancy, Andy, Erin and Billy. Carol was a talented artist that will be remembered for her handmade Christmas cards and beautiful flower gardens. She worked as an art teacher for many years and was loved by her students and her family. Carol’s family thanks the staff of Brothers of Mercy Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care that they provided to her over the past several years. A private interment will be held at Western New York National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
