I’ve known Dan for about 20 years. I think I played in 10 Turkey bowls with him and the Denglers. You talk about laughs and a lot of older athletes with pulled muscles before, during and after. It was priceless and times I always looked forward to. RIP Daniel-son. You sure were in good hands today with the Dengler funeral family. Top notch people. Till we meet again. Slainte!

My deepest condolences to the Rogers family. I had the privilege of working for Dan for twelve years. Not only was he a great boss, but a good friend. He would keep all of us laughing, co-workers and tax clients, with his many stories about his life and adventures. Especially the stories of how much trouble he got into as a young boy! He will truly be missed. The family is in my prayers.

I am in disbelief that someone with so much life and vigor could be gone, but Mr. Rogers was truly one of a kind. I grew up at the Rogers' house from the age of 10 into my current adult life. Dan was funny and warm and full of life lessons.

He truly had a huge heart. He dedicated so much of his passion and time to coaching swimming - I will always remember Mr. Rogers walking alongside the pool next to me as my head came out of the water. He saw potential in every single kid on the team, most of the time, before they saw it in themselves. He was firm, often scary, but always fair. As kids, Dan taught us a different kind of work ethic - the kind that didn't come naturally, but opened our eyes to that very specific feeling of accomplishment following relentless hard work.

My developmentally disabled sister took to calling him "Dan the Man" 18 years ago and truly never stopped. It was annoying, and I'm sure she will continue to say it after his passing, but my family will never forget how he acted as though it was the first time, every time. It was so indicative of his spirit and true kindness. He will be so missed.

My prayers for comfort and peace to the Rogers family. Knowing Dan from Eggert road school years. What a nice tribute video. Dan was truly surrounded with love. When a love ones passes, their love is never gone, because they placed with you safely to keep forever in your heart.

We have known Dan for many years now. He was our personal and business accountant. We’ve had many conversations, professional and business, and personal, and shared many laughs. We really enjoyed him and will miss him greatly. Heartfelt condolences to the family.

The Roger’s house was like my second home growing up and Mr. Rogers was someone I looked up to immensely. He was instrumental in my growth as a person and my love of sports. I remember the numerous rounds of golf, poker games, watching the March madness tournament and making my first bracket, basketball in the driveway, trips to the cottage, watching the unfortunate “music city miracle” and many more. He gave me my first real job, an internship at cost seg and I am forever grateful to have known him. My condolences go to all the Roger’s family.

My thoughts and love are with the family. Anytime uncle Dan entered a room, you knew he'd have something funny/witty to say (especially to dad, etc). Many happy memories over the years of his sparkle. We'll miss you!

To the entire Rogers family,
I offer my deepest condolences.
I've known Dan since Junior High and he always was kind, sweet and FUNNY! I am so sad to hear that he has passed.
He was always the life of the party but also always there to talk if you needed to.
The Amherst Class of 1980 has lost one of the best!
So, so sorry,
Amy Deemer Wann
