Of Williamsville NY, passed on June 6, 2026, at the age of 91. Ed was the beloved husband of 67 years to the late Frances (Bruno); preceded in death by his parents, Leon Novak and Barbara Novak (nee Nemanich). Loving father of Michael (Joanne), Daniel (Judith), David, Mark (Mary) and Amy, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law to the late Vickie (late Sam) Leone and late John (Patricia) Bruno, also survived by nieces and nephews. Ed was an Industrial Arts and Driver Education teacher in the Kenmore-Tonawanda School District, primarily at Hoover Jr. High/Middle School. A veteran of the Air National Guard of New York and US Air Force, Ed enjoyed his basement workshop, building and restoring furniture, and completing numerous do-it-yourself home improvement projects. The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday June 10th from 5-8 PM at the PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS, FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Road, Williamsville. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Gregory the Great Church on Thursday June 11th at 08:45 AM. Please assemble at the church. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ed’s name to Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo or the Employee Christmas Fund at Canterbury Woods.
