Beloved wife of 47 years to Vernice "Vern" Bates; devoted mother of Ian and Jonathan Bates; loving daughter of Esterlina and the late John Milton Thomason; dear sister of John (Linda), Eric and Esther Thomason; also survived by nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from The Newman Center, 495 Skinnersville Rd. Amherst on Monday September 28, 2026, at 11:30.
