He was the best pedestrian, and saved our son’s life. He was a wonderful man and truly loved his life. RIP good man.

To the Giacobbe family. I am currently an RN at Sisters Hospital and stumbled upon Dr. Giacobbe’s obituary now. I worked with your dad when we had a pediatric unit at Sisters and in the newborn nursery. My mom is also a nurse and remember him from his residency. All I can say is we loved him. Scrolling through the photos brought a smile to my face. He was such a vibrant and present man and always a gentleman. He always had a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek for you. He was an amazing man. Dear Giacobbe Family, 
I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Giacobbe. He was my children's pediatrician until they were 21 years old. 
It was a sad day when they were too old to go to him anymore.  
My husband , myself and Jimmy, Kelly and Kevin loved him so very much.  I cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciated the gentle care my children received from him every visit , regardless if it was a sick or well visit.  I loved how he would hug them and look them in the eye and tell them he loved them. He would talk to them about being a good son/daughter, behave in school and have a love of God in their heart.  He would speak so lovingly of his wife, family and his beloved Italy.  He would tell me about his garden there, how he loved his wine and cheese and the simple way of life there. 
I'm sure you are well aware of the impact he had on sooooo many children and parents, like myself.  As a first time mother,  his calming nature always helped me when my little ones were ill. He would even meet me at the office on a Sunday (after church of course).  Nobody does that!! But he did!  
Such a wonderful, sweet, kind man who will be missed by many. 
My children were so lucky! What a wonderful legacy.

The passing of Dr. Frank Giacobbe, who helped his dear late wife Renata carry out her dream of an Italian cultural center, is a loss to all Italian Americans of the Buffalo area.   I, and many of my friends personally benefited from the language conversation classes held first at the Hertel Ave. facility and later at the CCI center.  Dr. Frank's perseverance,  leadership and determination in realizing Prof. Renata's vision of a coming together of Italo American culture in the Buffalo area was indicative of his many accomplishments.  A dignified  gentleman well respected by all ....condolences to the Giacobbe family.

Dearest family of Francesco Giacobbe,  I had the  pleasure of meeting  Mr. Francesco at a CCI function. He had such a warm smile, and such a warm handshake. My condolences for your loss. Great Man.  Fondly, Chrissy Higgins

He was a great man and I appreciate the time I had coffee with him telling me about his dream of establishing the Cultural Center. He made it happen which was truly a miracle that he did it on his own and we are forever grateful for all of his work and love of the Italian community. The DiPaolo Family is proud of what he accomplished and to be able to support him in the future of the Italian community.

To Dr. Giacobbe's family: Back in the 1960's, my mother was looking for a pediatrician in Williamsville for my 2 preschool-aged sisters. She learned that a young doctor had just opened a new office in the Clearfield Plaza in Williamsville. She made an appointment with Dr. Giacobbe, who saw both girls. My mother was immediately impressed with the doctor and continued with him. When he moved his practice to his home on Parkside in Buffalo, she followed. When I became a father, I insisted that we take our 3 children to Dr. Giacobbe, all through the 70's and 80's. Dr. Giacobbe even saw me for regular checkups, even though I was an adult. In 1987, Dr. Giacobbe felt it was time for me to move on to a more "age-appropriate" physician, and referred me to a doctor he recommended in Buffalo. Dr. Frank was the most amazing, sincere and compassionate physician I have ever seen in my 77 years. What a blessing he was to my family, and certainly to your family.

To the family of Dr. Giacobbe-
He was there for us when my two oldest children were born and guided their early lives. My oldest is due May 1, 2024 (our first grandchild). Our hope is that her baby receives the same exemplary care Dr. Giacobbe provided.
He was great . Right away, he told us to ask any question but don’t drive away asking,” did he get that right or is that really so?”
Confident, firm was the Dr.  We moved to the Southtowns and had trouble locating a Dr. that met his standards!
He made a difference!!!

My heart is broken. Dr. Giacobbe was one of the greatest human beings I have ever  known.  He was my pediatrician in 1971 and for years after. He walked to my house in the blizzard of 77 with his black bag, and his golashes. We lived a block apart. I had pneumonia, but you couldn't get to a hospital. He gave me antibiotics, and showed my parents how to move around my back so I wouldn't  die. He saved my life that day. That's a debt I can never repay. I send all my love and respect to his family. I would like to offer my condolences to the Giacobbe family. Your father was the pediatrician to my 3 children. He was an incredible doctor. I have shared stories of your dad many times over the years. II do not think my son George who is a robust20 almost 21 year  old man would be here healthy and alive without your dad. He met us all hours  holidays weekends  when George was young  ,so an apology to all of you for stealing your dad away.. I just want you to know how blessed we all are to have know Dr. Frank and how very sorry  I am for all of you he was a

Dr G was one of a kind it was a pleasure working with him for many years. I am sorry to hear that your dad passed away. He was always so nice to me. He was a good man and doctor.

I am sorry I am unable to come Wednesday to express my condolences. Unfortunately I am still recovering from multiple fractured vertebrae.

Dr. Frank was a special, rare, one-of-a-kind, break the mold human being and doctor. His craft wasn’t work, it was a ministry.  Dr. Frank knew, he was as much a doctor of the mother and father as he was to the infant or child. This man was good and his practice was medicine of the heart and of the soul, the body, he knew,  is just our temporary home. RIP Dr. Frank. You are loved, missed and will live on in all those whose lives you touched.
