Gary King, 71, passed away on May 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to his family. He was the beloved husband of Deborah King (Clowers), a devoted father to Deanna (Jason) Schmitt, Jared (Stephanie) King, and Mikele King (Mike Lechliter), & a proud and loving “Papa” to Sienna, JJ, Ava, Savannah, and Graysen. He was the son of the late Harold and Marie (Monkelbaan) King and was predeceased by his brothers Alan, Duane, Paul, Michael, and Glen King, affectionately known as the “King boys.” Born on the West Side of Buffalo, Gary later lived in North Buffalo and went on to build his dream home in Williamsville where his family shared many cherished memories. A self-made man, he was the owner of LTD Home Improvement and took great pride in the business he built. He loved his days roofing alongside his crew, something he continued to talk about throughout his life. Gary will be remembered most for his infectious laugh and the way he could lighten any moment with humor. He had a natural gift for lifting spirits and making everyone feel at ease with his quick wit and kind heart. Being around him meant feeling welcomed and always leaving with a smile. As a father, he was involved, supportive, and proud, always showing up for his children. As “Papa,” he cherished his grandchildren, never missing a dance recital or chance to be part of their lives, and found his greatest joy in watching them grow. Gary loved the Buffalo Sabres, time spent at Crystal Beach, and the simple routines that brought him peace: feeding the birds, singing, and enjoying his favorite sweet treats. Above all, he treasured being surrounded by those he loved, especially “Peaches,” the love of his life. Gary was a great man in every sense. He was hardworking, funny, and deeply devoted to his family. The impact he made and the memories he created will live on in all who knew and loved him. Family will be present to receive friends for a Memorial Visitation on Thursday May 7 from 4-7PM at the PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME , 1671 Maple Rd. Williamsville. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Gregory the Great Church on Friday at 8:45AM. If desired donations in Gary's memory may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Please share condolences at www.denglerrobertspernawilliamsville.com
