We are sad and still in shock to hear the news of Jagruti's untimely death last month.  She invited our family for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at their house.  We loved her food and fondly recall her delicious potato vadas.

It is very sad to accept the news that Jagruti is no more.  My heart broke into pieces knowing this.  Jagruti and I go way back.  We use to work together at Hills departmental store.  We caught the Niagara Falls Blvd bus together many years.  All the memories and time that I spent with her, I will cherish those moments forever.  I my deepest condolences to the family. It is very sad to accept that my dearest Atya is no more. My heart goes out to know about your loss. I have lovely memories of you visiting India and spending time with us. We always use to get excited to see you and when you left we use to wait for your next arrival.

But then I think, for me  you always lived in USA and you WILL continue to live in US Always!

She was my favorite sister when we were visited their FATHER  home at Ellisbridge, AHMEDABAD, during our college time 1977 to 1979.

Even though Jagruti is my cousin, she is more of a sister to me. 

Jagruti was a  deep reservoir of love and strength. Love for all and malice towards none was her principle in life. Even at times when she herself was sad, she would always find the words of genuine cheer and comfort for anyone she interacted with.  

I have many fond memories of visiting her when we were growing up in India and the phone calls in the US have kept us together as a family.  She always showed care and affection to me and my immediate family members. 

I remember speaking to her and sharing photos with her the day before she left us. It is still difficult to believe in the harsh reality that she is no longer with us.  

I will always cherish our memories.

May her soul rest in peace.

It is very difficult to accept that our dear Jagruti is no more with us.
Jagruti was such a lively personality. In her you could see a caring wife, a loving mother, a great host, a master chef, lively company, ever smiling , jovial outlook..... the list is endless.
Her passing away is just not a loss to the family but also to all who knew her.
I sincerely pray that God give the family strength to overcome this irreparable loss. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

Jagruti kaki’s sweet and welcoming nature has always put her loved ones at ease.  I remember when she came to help my parents during my mom’s heart surgery recovery—such a wonderfully caring person!!

Jagruti kaki, the terrible news of your passing away has been very difficult to accept. 

Your ever smiling and helpful nature will always be remembered, you would go out of the way for the comfort of others.  Be it when someone was visiting you at home or in town. 

You were a cook par-excellence, making wonderful food and would set your table to meet the requirements of royalty. I fondly remember when you made wonderful Indian Breakfast when I visit you and Dilip Kaka at your home. 

While you visited India and stayed with us at home, my mom had to be admitted to the hospital, you handled the home like it was your own, completely from your heart. 

Most of all, I will forever remember your encouragement for my religious studies when you presented me a book series which was available in the USA. 

I pray that the almighty, give strength to Dilip kaka and family and all near and dear ones to overcome this unbearable loss.  May you rest in eternal peace.  

Jagruti was more than a cousin to me. She was a sister I never had. She always had a smile on her face. She had tremendous strength to deal with all the adversities in life and also provide all the support she could to anyone that needed help at the same time.

I last met her in person was in Goa in Jan 2020. But we used to talk several times a week. I had the pleasure of talking with her in the morning of the day she left us.

I am going to tremendously miss her. I can never forget her voice, her laughter and most importantly, her genuine loving and caring personality. No one can ever replace her.

I will cherish all those memories I have of her.

May her soul attain liberation.

It is with great sorrow in my heart that I write about  dear Jagruti's passing. A loving, caring wife and mother I had always seen her happy,  lively, always busy with plans for get-togethers with friends, always ready with a helping hand. I remember, when she last visited us, I was unwell, and she very capably stood by me like a very strong support.  Very very saddened by this news.  I sincerely pray for Dilip, Om and the family,  that the Almighty grant them strength in this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace.

Dilup I remember assisting you both at the Northtown office of Citizens Bank.  Jagruti was so pleasant   Many times sharing customs from your country.  I am devastated for your loss.   My sincere sympathy to you and your family.
