
Jim had been dealing with the devastating effects of a rare brain disorder, adrenaleukodystrophy (dramatized in the movie "Lorenzo's Oil") since the age of 8. He attended Maplemere Elementary, Aspire Center for Learning, and People Inc. Lancaster Dayhab.
Jim began playing piano at the age of 5, and a video of him playing "Over the Rainbow" was used in a PSA for the Hunter's Hope Foundation, which has supported him and his family for many years.He also made the all-star team at Melott Little League, where he played along with his brother Steven.
Jim loved his pool, watching movies, and outings with his family and his dayhab center. He always watched the Buffalo Bills with his Dad and brother, and got a special thrill to meet and become friends with his buddy, Jim Kelly.
Jim is survived by his paretns, Michael and Sheila, his brother, Steve, grandfather Edward Moran, grandmother Jeannette Schmitt, and may relatives, friends, and caregivers.
