I had the privilege to work with Jim for many years. He was a true professional. He cared deeply about his clients and came into the office every day to service them to the best of his abilities. I couldn’t have a better friend Jim. You always answered my calls, managed my portfolio with expertise, and wanted to know about my wife Susan and my family. Especially you asked about my disabled son Todd, whom you did so much for over the years including getting him a Jim Kelly autographed football. We shared our life stories and always wished for that championship from the Bills. You told me that you couldn’t have a better friend and that our friendship meant so much to you. I have tears in my eyes trying to write this – I will miss you my friend but I will never never forget you. I will see you again.

Dear Bonnie, 

My deepest and most sincere condolences. We are all so sad to hear of Jim’s passing, and are truly feeling the sorrow of this great loss. 

Our sons recalled to us some of the many stories of Jim they heard from my beloved father, Edwin. He considered Jim his oldest and best friend.  Jim was certainly there for him through all of life’s ups and downs, and stayed a devoted friend until my father’s end. He talked about Jim often, and our boys (now young men) came to know Jim vicariously through my dad. Jim was such a wonderful, wonderful man, and a solid friend to many.

Deb and I are very sorry for your loss.  Jim was a great guy and we talked two or three times a year; most recently he called when my family and I were vacationing in Ireland in July.  Earlier this year we traded copies of a book about Gerald R. Ford.  I had his signed by the author and mailed to him.  Most importantly, Jim was a man of integrity and a joy to be around.   Many great memories from our Kappa Sigma days.

Bonnie: My wife Beverly and I met you and Jim once in a restaurant in our adjacent neighborhoods.  Our thoughts and condolences go out to you.  We lived close by and had homes built by the same builder but never physically got together.  I talked with Jim on the phone sporadically.  I want to extend our condolences and those of the Hamburg HS Class of 61. We all remember Jim affectionately. He was scheduled to attend one night of our 57th class reunion but didn't make it as a spat of his breathing problems set in and were just beginning.  Prayers to you moving forward.
