It is with grace that an angel informed me on Mr. Culkin's mysterious adventure. 

I loved watching Home Alone during an era when my respite worker and I played the video game version of the scene at Central Park because of her friend's kindness. It just so happened that a relative of The Honourable Mr. Chief Justice Richard J. Scott (1990-2013) had paint cans thrown in his front window while a Geography Professor at the University of Winnipeg and an Educational Assistant from Acadia Junior High were fast asleep. Their next-door neighbours (1983-2002) and I had the "times of our life" while my mother was employed with the River East Transcona School Division (R.E.T.S.D.)! 

Every Christmas I watch the entire comedy series because of "Kevin's" warm heart. 

I Am So Very Sorry to Learn of Jack's Passing.  While I Did Not Know Him All That Well, He Was a Supporter of www.WNYLaborToday.com - Western New York's On-Line Labor Newspaper.  He Also Helped Us Secure Advertising From Independent Health, Which Helped Our On-Line Labor Newspaper Grow.  I Continually Asked Him to Meet Me for Lunch/Dinner as a 'Thank You' - But He Always Declined.  He Said He Believed In What We Were Doing for the Labor Movement and That Was Enough 'Thanks.'  I Will Miss Seeing Him at the Buffalo AFL-CIO Monthly Meetings and at the Annual WNY Area Labor Federation Meeting.  And - He Will Be Missed.  Thanks Jack and May You Rest In Pease. Dear JoAnne, we have just learned of Jack's passing. So very sorry. I am remembering back to that summer over 40 years ago (it was summer, yes?) when you were out here visiting and left right away to go home to be with Jack... your relationship was soon to be anointed in Holy Matrimony. I remember your giving birth to the twins and wondering how one could cope with two babies at the same time! That same time marched by so fast. I am very sorry and shocked to hear of Jack's passing. As a member at Prism/BCPA Fitness, Jack went out of his way to talk to and get to know each and every person there, and of course he always willing to entertain a friendly conversation about politics. Jack always had a book in his hand and was known to change the channel on every single tv in the gym when the Yankees were playing. I am very sorry for your loss, he will be missed.

Joanne,Jack was such an ever present presence it seems impossible he has passed away. I enjoyed Jack who served on the IHA Board and Appeals committee for many many years. He never stopped thinking about all the ramifications of each move and members could count on his empathy when they appealed. I can still hear his voice. Fred

Michael - My deepest sympathies for the loss of your father.  I had a chance to talk with him a little during Basketfest a few weeks ago, he told me how much he loved watching his grandchildren playing sports. My prayers are with you and the kids during this difficult time.

This is so shocking.  Jack was full of life and lived a busy, productive life.  He was so proud of all his children and doted on the grandkids. He encouraged everyone to work out, as he did, and loved talking genealogy.  All this in addition to his love of politics and his many contributions as a zone leader and former State Committeeman.  This is a terrible and tragic loss.  Deepest condolences to the family.
