95 years on this Earth.  Wise, incredibly kind.  I had a lip piercing done just one year into working for him- he asked me; `Why do you do it, do you suppose it will give you good luck with the ladies?'  I smiled, and being so young- had no answer.  "Perhaps I should have it done?"   "We do not judge you as we know you are a nice young man!"  Another year would pass, and Summer of 10th grade I was there working, when my Mom came early.  I saw the car through the garage window and noted the time as 2PM- two hours before I was to leave.  I knew somehow, before she entered- I knew my Dad had died.  The thought flooded my mind the moment her car had pulled in that driveway.   My Mom told Dr Keuter, I remember him asking if she wanted a seat to which she declined.  I still taste every bit of that emotion.  I took off only seven days from work.  Upon returning and knocking on the door to begin the day- he lightly hugged me, as a man in old age would, and asked if I truly wanted to work that day, so soon and still in mourning.  I said 'yes', and he commended me.  It was very heartfelt.  Together we built a bookshelf from scratch- and his infamous 'sideways cabinet' which was in the shape of a triangle, so as to utilize the tiny space behind a door (His was a house of many, many things- piled high to the ceiling)- not a pack-rat, as they were orderly, and important; Medical documents, text on dermatology.  I was given a true friend in Dr Juan Keuter, our conversations were never small-talk.  He made me feel confident in myself- the subjects we would cover, as we built that sideways cabinet, and into the paid 30 minute lunch breaks he provided.  Dr Juan Keuter taught me a great deal about this Life; yes, while working for him- but it extended far outside of this.  The discovery of his passing- and the recountance of all of these memories.  In these lay another lesson from a wise and well-remembered man.  I may never forget those long-gone, sundrenched days; thank you so much
