Julia E. Scibetta

passed on October 8, 2026, at the age of 90.

Julia was the beloved wife of the late Frank C. Scibetta; loving mother of Frank Scibetta; dear sister of Anna (late William) Goetzman and William (late Judy) (Angelina) Schierlitz, the late Marion (late Ray) Wolbert, the late John (late Marilyn Schierlitz and the late Helen (late Kevin) Mulvey; cherished daughter of the late John and late Anna (nee Kress) Schierlitz. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Julia had many passions; she was the ultimate "Cat Whisperer" and lover of cats and animals. She was also passionate about music and the arts, being the wife of a jazz musician.

She was also a true "champion" of the underdog and of the less fortunate. She adored and cherished ALL children. Julia spent the majority of her work career as a member of New York State Teachers Union working as a teacher's aide in various schools in Erie County working with developmentally challenged children that she loved like her own.

She had a heart so big it was deserving of its own zip code. She will bring this spirit to heaven.

A graveside service will be held at Saint John Lutheran Cemetery 650 Pine Ridge Heritage Boulevard & Sugar Road, Cheektowaga, NY 14215 at 11 AM on Thursday October 15, 2026. Please assemble at the cemetery.
