We were very saddened to hear of 
Miss Carlson passing. She was a wonderful teacher to our sons. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and the family.

She was my favorite teacher at Infant of Prague school, a few years ago!  I will always remember her. So sorry to hear of her passing. IOP class of 1970. RIP.

I was so sorry to read of Karen's passing. I had spoken to Kathy around Thanksgiving and inquired about Mom, but feel bad that I didn't ask about Karen. I have so many fond memories of growing up on Maynard Dr. Several of the trees that my Dad planted after we'd moved to No. Forest Rd. came from the golf course and Mr. Carlson helped my Dad with the digging and loading. My Mom and Mrs. Carlson were good friends and the 3 oldest kids in each family were 'paired off' at St. Benedict's. Jamie recalled the Carlsons coming out to No. Forest when Ellicott Creek flooded and froze - almost surrounding  our house. Dad had Super 8mm movies of everyone skating on our front lawn - including Mr. Carlson taking a pretty hard spill! As I write this the memories keep flooding back - it was pretty good growing up in the '50's on Maynard Dr. I did see Karen several times at Infant of Prague in the late '80's - she was principal there and my kids went to their after-school day care. Mrs. Carlson, I'm sorry for your loss - maybe I'll see you around Mother's Day if I'm delivering flowers for Mischlers. Kathy and Rob, I wish we could have made it to the wake - please extend our condolences to your younger sisters and brother. Old friends, Jack and Jamie Hoelscher.

We were so fortunate that both our children had Miss Carlson as their teacher at CTK. We have very fond memories of the annual International Fair and Class Night all thanks to her creativity and dedication to her students. Our family will miss her. Matt, Maria, Jessica & Ben Yee.

Miss Carlson was my math teacher at IOP school, she was dedicated to her students and her craft. She impacted many peoples lives. I am a teacher now myself. She will always be in my thoughts.

She was one of my favorite teachers and I have very fond memories of her.  Prayers and thoughts sent to her family.  She was a wonderful person..

My 6th grade teacher at IOP...great teacher great memories! Wishing her family peace and the comfort at this sad time.

I will miss a great friend.I came to know Karen at CTK School where she was the best social studies teacher. My prayers to her   family whom she loved very much.

Walsh family,  we are sorry to hear of "Aunt Karen's" passing. We heard all about her through Nolan. He often talked about her and enjoyed the packages she sent, especially the m & m's. We hope you can find comfort through all the memories.

I will remember her fondly as my 6th grade teacher at IOP in the mid 70's...very devoted to her students and profession.  My prayers are with her and all your family.
