Dear Betty: I was sorry to read of your son Larry's death. I retired from Amherst in 2016, and I believe that was the last time I spoke to him. We were watching a sporting event on the Amherst High athletic field. I asked Larry if you were still travelling in your retirement, and he told me that you were still keeping active. You and your family have my deepest sympathy at this difficult time. Sincerely, Tom Virginia (Amherst high Latin teacher 1985-2016)

Angela, I was so sorry to hear about Larry’s sudden passing. He was such a kind man during our SDS days, so conscientious, and so good with children. I’ll be praying for strength to carry you through these long days ahead.

Larry had a beautiful soul and was wonderful with the kids at Lou Gehrig. He was definitely one of my daughters favorite coaches. He was a man of integrity and character and he will be missed.

Mr. Arbo was one of the greatest bosses I have ever had. I’m lucky to have spent the past 5+ years working with him at Lou Gehrig. He was genuinely one of the most kind hearted people I have ever met. I will deeply miss our phone conversations every couple weeks just to talk about how things were going and to talk sports. My condolences to the family. Rest In Peace Mr. Arbo.

I met Larry when he played floor hockey on Lathrop St. He was always so pleasant. He always wore a smile! He is the guy when people say he is a great soul, that’s Larry.
Rest In Peace Larry.
God Bless you and your family.

Coach Larry was an amazing man that added greatly to our daughter's softball experience and knowledge. We are thankful that we got to enjoy Coach Larry as Jillian's Coach last season. We will miss Coach Larry tremendously at LG and also as our neighbor on Rambling Road. May God comfort Larry's family at this time.
