We were so saddened to hear of the passing of Nina. We were former neighbors many years ago.She always had a smile on her face and was very welcoming. So very sorry for your loss. RIP Nina💙🙏🏻✝️

To Ron and family,   Nina was a valuable member of our Bishops Committee Woman's discussion group and Book Club for many years at St. Gregory the Great church. She will be remembered for her kind ways and gentle spirit. Now she can see the face of God. Thank you Nina for leading your courageous life.

Nina, Rose and I grew up together, along with Margaret who was younger, until I was 10 and moved away.  We were more like sisters than cousins. I spent lots of time at their home over the years. . I remember those years and times as a wonderful part of my life and growing up.

Marge so sorry to learn of your sister's passing. Our thought are with you at this sad time. May the cherished memories of Nina bring you comfort in this time of sorrow. We are so sorry for your loss.

Nina you will be sadly missed by all who knew you. Jason and Matt thought you were the greatest.  Tess and you are now together, I know you will be reminiscing stories. I miss you both so much.

Nina may you rest in peace.  We will never forget you and how you always took such good care of all of our kids when they were young.  We will all cherish those memories forever.

Many memories with Nina growing up brings me smiles. Always Hi Honey as she greeted me and my kids. Will miss this great lady and I hope she is having a party with her heaven family.

Dear Margaret and families,
I am so very sorry to hear of Nina’s passing. She was a great person and a great friend. It has been many years since our paths crossed.  From hanging out at “The Yellow Monkey, “ stopping by Saraceni’s drugstore to pick up a few things, standing up in my wedding (Niagara Falls)  and running into each at Hills on Sheridan  Dr. We were like the 3 Musketeers, Kathy, Nina and Kathy.  Those were the best days. We never did go for that cup of coffee, how sad.  Well Kathy  is up there so maybe you two can have a reunion. Missing you and remembering all the good times.

A Tribute to Mom

My Mom, Leonina — known to everyone as Nina — was the most loving, selfless, and compassionate person I’ve ever known. She devoted her life to caring for others, from the children she lovingly looked after to the students she supported as a teacher’s aide for children with learning disabilities. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life, and St. Gregory the Great was her spiritual home. She found such joy in bringing up the gifts at Mass and serving her parish community in so many ways, including teaching CCD for over 40 years and being part of the Bishop’s Committee and her beloved book club.

More than anything, Mom treasured time spent with her family and friends. Her laughter, kindness, and gentle spirit made every moment special. She gave so much of herself to others without ever expecting anything in return. I am so proud to be her son — she was truly the best mother anyone could ask for. I love you, Mom, and I’ll carry your faith, love, and light with me always.
