Dear Mr. Brown,

My deepest condolences on your loss. I met you late last summer at David's house in Alden and remember you well. Please be assured of my prayers. My own father entered into eternal life at the very beginning of this year, as well. Like you, he was a great Scout, too. God bless you and your family in this hour of bereavement.

Rest in peace my grandmother, Loretta Brown, thank you for everything you taught me, and showed me and all of your love. I will miss you, and all of your expressions, my favorite was "I've got a bone to pick with you" (you had a few bones to pick with me on occasion:) I remember the first time you said that to me as a kid and I had no idea what it meant I thought it was like we were having chicken? and how every time you gave me a plant you would say "now don't say thank you for the plant or it will die" and of course when I left, I would say "thanks, oops I mean no thanks" I love you so very much and will miss you tremendously, I thank god you are with him now and that I had you in my life for so many years, I will cherish those memories for the rest of my days. And though my Violet will not know you here on earth I will remind her of you always through my cherished memories over a plate of one of your favorite recipes, Tallarini.

Grandpa, my heart and love go out to you at this time, Ryan, Violet and I are here for you, we love you very much.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of your Grandmother. Be thankful for all the time you had with her. May your memories ease your pain and know she will be looking over you and smiling when you're teaching Violet all she taught you. I wish I could be there, please let me know if there is anything you need. XOXO
