Beloved wife of John Hogg, devoted mother of Kaitlyn Louise Perkins (William) and Julianna Marie. Loving daughter of the late Allen and Louise Scalzo. Dear sister of Kerry Scalzo, cherished aunt of Michael, Jeffrey, and Anthony Hart; Matthew Smith, Michaela Hogg, and Jonathan Hogg. Sister-in-law of Mary Ann Hogg, Thomas Hogg, and Michael and Lori Hogg. Also survived by numerous cousins and dear friends who became like family.
Born and raised in Lockport, NY, Lori was a woman of deep and abiding Catholic faith. Her love for Our Blessed Mother guided her every day, shaping the way she prayed, served, and loved.
She lived her faith joyfully and shared it generously. Whether she was praying the Rosary or comforting someone in need, Lori radiated joy, peace and hope. She had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and loved, reminding them that they were precious in the eyes of God. Her faith wasn’t something she talked about as much as something she lived—quietly, consistently, and beautifully. She found joy in the small, holy moments of life and helped others do the same.
Lori was the heart of her family and the soul of every gathering. She loved to host dinners and celebrations where laughter, good food, and warmth filled the room—or the driveway. (IYKYK!) With a sparkle in her eye and an open heart, she brought the joy of Christ wherever she went.
She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a faithful friend. Lori’s gentle strength, kindness, and unwavering trust in God touched everyone who knew her. Her life was a reflection of love in action, a testament to the power of grace, prayer, and service.
And Lori loved to dance! Whether it was a kitchen twirl, a wedding reception, or a spontaneous moment when the music moved her, Lori’s joy came alive on the dance floor. She danced the way she lived- with freedom, laughter, and love that drew others in.
