We will all remember Marge for her unbounded love and positive outlook on life. She made friends easily and endeared herself to neighbors and colleagues at Daeman University where she worked as a library aid for 40 years after raising her five children and retired at the age of 85.
She was a member of the UB Women's Organization for 55 years, the Gourmet Cooking Club and sorority as well as being an avid bridge player.
Marge's love of music was a main theme throughout her life which she shared with our father, Chester and her five children. She sang many seasons with Buffalo Choral Arts and St. Gregory the Great Choir. She loved going to hear the Buffalo Philharmonic and encouraged us to study various musical instruments. She and dad attended many band and orchestra concerts as well as school musicals. She became a fan of her kids' sports endeavors and attended countless hockey, softball, baseball and tennis matches.
She loved to be in the kitchen, it was a creative love language for her. We will always remember waking up on a Sunday morning to the comforting aroma of sauce on the stove before Mass, followed by Sunday afternoon dinner with pasta and meatballs. Always keeping close ties to her Italian roots, Mom started a tradition of Christmas dinner of homemade raviolis and all the trimmings. Holidays were a favorite time when she decorated the house and cooked traditional meals to celebrate and bring the family together.
Our family will forever be blessed by Mom, whose devotion and selfless love set an example for rich and long lasting relationships. Her respect for traditional values of hard work, taking time to enjoy life and counting our blessings were all strong values she lived by. She will be missed by her family and friends and her love for life will live on in each of us for all time. May God Bless you, Mom.
