She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Henri and Madeleine Robillard.
Marie earned her bachelors degree from the Eastman School of Music, becoming an accomplished pianist and then followed her undergraduate studies at Columbia University, earning a masters degree in Library Science.
Marie enjoyed a distinguished career with the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System. As Head Librarian of the Clarence Branch, she played a leading role in the fundraising and development of the new Clarence Public Library building, which opened in 2001. This achievement reflected her dedication to the community and to public service.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marie was actively involved in numerous civic and church organizations. Some of which were: Kiwanis Club, the Clarence Women’s Club, the Clarence Arboretum Committee, Music for Parkinson’s, and the Ringmasters Handbell Choir. She generously gave her time and talents to benefit the Williamsville and Clarence communities.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed immediately by a memorial service at Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Road, Williamsville, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie’s memory to Hospice Buffalo or the SPCA Serving Erie County.
