Mary Joan Fix (Chaya) passed on October 4, 2026, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Paul Davis Fix, Sr.; loving mother of Paul Davis (Lauren) Fix ll and Mary Beth (Peter) Notaro; cherished grandmother of Shelby (Christopher) Saeli, Paul Davis Fix lll and Sarah (Tyler) Englert; adored great grandmother of Senna, Enzo and Conrad; dear sister of Joseph F. Chaya. Family will be present to receive friends on Thursday, October 8 from 4-7 PM at the Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Rd, Williamsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church on Friday, October 9 at 10:30AM. Please assemble in Church. Mary Joan Fix was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Batavia, and attended Nazareth College in Rochester.
Mary Joan and Paul shared 61 years of marriage together. They raised their family in Batavia and Rochester before moving to Williamsville. Mary Joan later started her own interior design business, where she was able to put her creativity and talents to work.
Family was at the heart of Mary Joan’s life. She was a devoted mother of two, grandmother of three, and great-grandmother of three. Mary Joan loved to host and could always be counted on to bring everyone together, whether for a holiday dinner, a special occasion, or a casual meal shared with family.
Mary Joan also enjoyed cooking, baking, and traveling with family and friends. She was also active in the Seniors Group at St. Gregory the Great, as well as Ladies of Charity.
Mary Joan will be remembered for her creativity, generosity, devotion to her family, and the many ways she brought people together.
