To the entire Kasbohm family,
I have great memories of spending time with Mary. 
She was a lovely lady, always kind and polite.
We would talk at the kitchen table, and look thru old recipes and photos.
She loved her family , and would  talk about her strong faith. 
We shared stories and worked on word puzzles. 
After breakfast, Mary would make sure we did all of the prescribed physical therapy exercises.
She was an inspiration to me.
Rest in Peace Mary

I (proudly) inherited my sweet tooth from Grandma (and Grandpa!) -- ice cream before bed every night. I loved getting ice cream with Grandma!

In the days before zip-lining, the biggest thrill in town was the tree swing Dad rigged behind our Mountainside house.   There was a sharp drop-off at the back of the property where the ground fell away more than 30 feet.  Dad hung a heavy rope from a tree at the edge of the embankment, with a small wooden cross-piece for a seat.   You needed plenty of courage to swing out over that drop-- Mom was brave enough to give it a try!

This was taken on a Kasbohm trip South around 1968-ish, just before Daddy pulled out the Pedicab and gave us rides around the block.  Looks like John and Aunt Mary teamed up to coral David, Doug and Robert!

Do not let these innocent looks fool you -- there was always mischief when these two sisters got together.  :) 

We will miss their quiet pranks, poems, Scrabble games, desserts (so many desserts!) and wonderful stories from their childhood. I especially loved how Aunt Mary would always eat any leftover strawberry shortcake or bread pudding for breakfast, saying she was "taking it off Jean's hands to make more room in the fridge."  How  funny is that?! Love, love, LOVE!  You know that is quite a family reunion for everyone  in heaven.

Mom and Dad loved the outdoors.  Here is a nice photo of them paddling together on one of their many canoe trips to Algonquin Park (Ontario, Canada).  This picture is from a Spring fishing trip that my wife and I took with them in May, 1984, just a week after "Ice Out" on Lake Louisa.

Mom said Dad was the handsomest man she ever saw!

She had hoped to preserve her wedding dress, but it was destroyed when she sent it to be cleaned & boxed after the ceremony. It had delicate applique, and it fell apart when they treated it.
