I feel like Dick was my big brother.  He showed me how to sail a boat.  He taught me, by example, to always have a project on the go, so that at the end of the day, I could look back at an accomplishment, which in a small way mades this a better world.  Dick's kind and generous life made this a better world.

I called him "Beepo" as a toddler. He was an absolutely wonderful guy with such a warm, kind personality. It was always such a pleasure to visit with him through all stages of growing up - as a little kid, a teenager and then as an adult. He was so engaging, interesting, and thoughtful. I'll miss him and remember him fondly.

I have many fond memories of him. He was always sincerely interested in the friends of his kids and I always felt welcome in their home. I looked forward to his newsletters each year. He will be missed.

     So sorry to hear of the passing of Mike's dad.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

Chris:  Dick & I go back to Lowell House in 1947, and I'm grateful that we kept in touch for as long as we did. He was a fine soldier, friend, and gentleman.  My condolence to all. I'd like to talk with you when you feel like it.   -- Jim
