Richard Albert Lecksell passed on June 15, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born on January 31, 1947, and was a resident of Amherst, NY. Beloved husband of Donna (Conlin) Lecksell; dear father of Christopher and Erik Lecksell; brother of James (Kathi) Lecksell, late Thomas (Sherry, late Judith) Lecksell, late Martha Kjeldgaard and late Jane Geise. Also survived by nieces and nephews. No prior visitation, private services are being held at the convenience of the family. Richard had 50 years of experience working as a draftsman and CADD operator. He specialized in civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical design and worked for several large engineering firms including Hatch, URS, and AECOM. His accomplishments include designing and drafting rapid transit projects for Buffalo, New York City, and Los Angeles. Outside of work, he enjoyed a wide range of activities including writing, painting, photography, watching and playing sports, hiking, camping, gardening, and carpentry."
