So Sorry to hear about the passing of your mom Steve (Maria) and family prayers for your entire family

It wasn't a year ago that, while visiting Sarah at the nursing home, Patty and I wheeled her outside to a shady and quiet spot where we all enjoyed the beautiful afternoon for a while. At one point, Patty went off to speak with the staff and Sarah and I were left alone. I had been thinking for a couple of months that I wanted to thank her for being such a steadfast loving presence in my entire life. I had learned about how people come into your life and then as we pursue careers or whatever, that close personal contact can go cold. Yet here we were again, together after I had vanished from family gatherings for decades in the military and away at school. My Godmother was still the welcoming and kind loving person to me that she had always been. When, as a kid, I escaped my own turbulent home for weekends of respite in a house full of active, happy LaTorre kids, she never once made me feel as if I was an intrusion, unwelcome or out of place. I was her godchild - just another kid in the cluster and I loved it. I learned to ride motorcycles with Carmel and Stevie, listened to the Beatles with Theresa and Patty and later of Mary's and Sal's respective love of books and hockey. My Aunt Sarah was never too busy to look me in the eye and share her warmth through acceptance and a loving hug. All of these memories drove me to find a moment to tell her how much I needed and appreciated her unconditional love and that afternoon, outside the nursing home, I did. I am so glad I did. Today, I thought about the long friendship she shared with my own mother and that she probably knew how much I enjoyed being an occasional  part of Aunt Sarah's troupe. I realized that I need to find a moment to thank her for providing me with a perfect Christmas gift for my Godmother during many of those earlier years. My Godmother always kissed and hugged me when she opened a beautifully wrapped bottle of Chanel #5 and there was happiness. I will miss the kindness and genuine love she held out to me and am very thankful to have had such a wonderful Godmother.

Just want to pass on my condolences on behalf of the Rehab staff at Odd Fellows,  we all loved Sarah very much!  Thanks for sharing the many pictures, she was a special lady and will be greatly missed.

My sincerest condolences to your family. She was a very loving and wonderful lady and I am thankful to have known her. These pictures were wonderful, thank you for sharing them.

It is so hard to believe she is gone. She was such a large part of our "family, and our days.  She used to cheer me up, as much as she said I cheered her.  Rest in Peace Sarah, you are loved and missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in the passing of your mom...as I knew her as my aunt Terry and my mom Rose knew her as her sister-in-law. She was a great lady loved by all of us and we will miss her very much. We have such great memories of her that we will always cherish. She loved everyone, family, friends and always had us in her prayers. Growing up I remembered her flaming red hair and use to tell everyone that my aunt Terry resembled Lucy Ball!! She will never be forgotten, keep her close to your hearts and she will always be there. God bless you all.  Love cousin Cindy and aunt Rose.

Dear Brothers and Sisiters,
When you feel like the world is crashing in remember this: You were very much loved and each and every one of you had a very special place in mom's heart. There was no one who could or would love you more. She was so very proud of having six children. The family was so very important to her being who she was and so it is who you are. So remember whatever or wherever your journey in life takes you our mother and father will always be a part within you as you will be to your children as we are now our parents. I love you all
