

Sharon Ann Kemp, 83, of Lancaster, New York, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. Born on March 9, 1943, in Red Bank, NJ. Sharon lived a full and spirited life marked by devotion to her family, her home, and the things she loved most. Sharon shared 63 years of marriage with her beloved husband, the late James R. Kemp, building a life together that was grounded in loyalty, hard work, and deep family bonds. Together they raised three children, and Sharon poured herself into the role of mother with fierce dedication and unwavering care. Known for her fiery independence and strong will, Sharon carried herself with a spirited and expressive presence that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She was caring and watchful, always looking after those around her with determination. Her kitchen was a place of creative magic, here she cooked with intuitive guidance, crafting memorable sauces and dishes that became treasured family traditions. Her flower gardens reflected the same careful artistry, tended with patience and a gifted hand. She kept an immaculate home and took great pride in maintaining it. Sharon also held a special place in her heart for her dogs, from Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds to beloved rescues who found a loving home with her. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Kemp; her son, James Kemp; and grandson Charles James Waldron. She is survived by her daughter Jeana Enochson and son Jody Kemp. Son-in-law Brian Enochson, grandchildren Cody Waldron, Elijah Enochson, and Jesse Boone Kemp, and great-grandchildren Jordyn Waldron, Reece and Romey Waldron; her brothers, Scott Davis and Shawn Davis; and her sister, Sheila Weldon. Her life will be celebrated quietly among those who loved her most. May she find gentle peace in God's grace. Sharon was a strong-willed, goal-oriented woman, a force of nature who will be forever missed and remembered.
