Marie and Himmler Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Keep all those great memories close to your heart.

My dad used to say that he'd go to funeral Masses and people would give eulogies and he wonder who they were talking about.  He'd say, I knew that guy; he wasn't that nice.  I know that everyone who knew your mom, our aunt,  would be totally over the top with praise about Aunt Theresa.  In this case, it would all be true.  I've always said, "Mother Theresa has nothing over my Aunt Theresa".  My dad would agree with that.  Heaven is a better place today.  Jim and Eilleen Herbst

Nothing can replace the lessons, love and time we've had together. But we can reminisce… 

My sisters and I were the lucky ones and got to spend lots and lots of time with Grandma. Some of our favorite memories of her are:

- Grandma kept her pantry stocked with Spaghettio's because they were our favorite
- We loved our Tea parties 
- Sleep overs meant eating popcorn while watching old movies (my favorites were the Shirley Temple ones) 
- She always tucked us into bed and said our prayers with us. She would stayed for the 20-30 minutes it took us to pray for every single person we knew.
- Easter: making bunny cakes, dying eggs, and instead of just throwing out the dye, we would dip paper towels in it to make tie dye napkins… Grandma always raved how each one was more beautiful than the last and strictly enforced all Easter guests to use the vinegar soaked napkins at dinner because they were too beautiful to waste.

Standing up here, I am representing all 14 grandchildren so I really wanted to talk about ALL of our favorite memories so I sent a FB message to everyone to get some input. When I copied the Facebook messages into a word document (for easier editing), there were 8 pages of text. I will do my best to incorporate all of it in the next 2 minutes.

- Mac n cheese and Split pea soup
- Lots of grandparents have cookies jars… ours had a whole drawer full of cookies that was strategically placed in arms reach of all kids.
- Grandma loved a good yard sale
- Friendly's for our ice cream outings
- She always kept pennies next to the perpetually stocked gumball machine
- The color green and St. Patrick's Day will always remind us of her

Grandma let us take over her house and all of its contents whenever we were there. 
- Wheel chair races
- She would let us use her Tupperware to catch and house fireflies
- FORTS – let us use every blanket in the house
- She let us play “Heart and Soul” on the piano for hours on repeat

Out of those 8 pages of stories, my cousin Andy summed it up best.

He said, “mostly I remember grandma and grandpa as the people who showed us the true value of family and I looked forward to each and every summer because I knew they would make sure we were all together and I'd get to spend a week with my favorite people and best friends in the world!! As long as we're always there for each other then we will always know she's watching down on us.”

With a little help from my friends, I want to end with a quote from a very wise bear, Winnie the Pooh. “If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever”

Kathy and Family,  How much richer our lives are for knowing your Mom.  Such fond memories of pie making and talks around the kitchen table.  She truly lit up the room when she arrived.  Her smile, graciousness and zest for life will be remembered.  She is beautifully reflected in your family.  We send our love and prayers as you say this goodbye.  Tammy, Jon and West Family

Himmler Family, sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. While it is painful, you were truly blessed to be guided through life by such a caring and loving  Mother and Grandmother. I'm sure her  irish eyes are still filled with joy and love as she looks down upon each of you and meets with your father and siblings above once again.  With much sympathy, the Franks of Oklahoma.

Kathy and family, Robert and I wish to send our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this painful time.  We are fondly remembering your mother, a delightful lady with a kind and joyful spirit.  May God's peace be with you at this time of loss.

We have been so Blessed to have shared wonderful memories and to have Aunt Theresa as a role model.  You always knew you were loved when she welcomed you with her warm smile.  Her life was not always easy, yet her warmth, wisdom and caring were always available.  She is written in our hearts and will live on forever.

Patrick, Annie and Family,  we were so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing.  Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.  May you always have happy memories!

Himmler family.  We are sadden to hear of Theresa passing.  She was a fabulous woman and a great Mother.  We spent many wonderful times with her when we lived in Rochester.  She was a true believer and is in a wonderful place.
