Entered into rest August 21, 2026 at age 63. Beloved son of the late Donald F. and Gertrude M. “Trudy” Bauer: brother of Robert M. (Mary Jo) Bauer, MD, Brian J. (Marsha Thornhill, MD) Bauer, MD, Mary Beth “Betsy” (Peter C.) Eimer, and Bonnie L. (Robert A.) Blum; loving and adored uncle of 15 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews.
Bill was born in Buffalo where he graduated from Saint Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and Buffalo State College.
Bill loved everything about Buffalo, family, friends and community. He cherished watching the lives of his family unfold over the years. Bill had a special gift for always remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and special family events, reminiscing those celebrations with a unique story. He was an avid Sabres/Bills fan and supporter of local hockey and the West Side Rowing Club. He enjoyed traveling to local hockey and rowing events. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and countless memories that will continue to be shared by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph University Parish, 3269 Main Street, Buffalo, Saturday August 29 at 11:15 AM. Flowers gratefully declined.
