William George Irr

William George Irr passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on July 2, 1931,RR, William G. Of Getzville, NY passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, in Richmond, VA while visiting his daughter during the Christmas holidays. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia A. Irr, who passed on May 7, 2025. Their 66 year marriage and devotion to family remained the foundation of his life. He is survived by his children, Dr. Deborah Panebianco (James Merrill), Dr. William Irr, Jr., Douglas (Yehudit) Irr, and Denise (Craig) Hanson. He was a proud grandfather to Nicole (Nick) Krebser, Theresa Panebianco, Jake and Ryan Irr, Julia and Daniel Irr, Alyssa (Joe) Drummond, Elizabeth (Sam) Wilson, and Emily Hanson; and a cherished great-grandfather to Jack Krebser, Bode, Remington, and Benaiah Drummond, and Lenna Wilson; and step-grandfather to Denise, Turner and Sarita. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Agnes Irr, and his siblings John (Marilyn) Irr, Virginia (Loren) Durfee, and Nancy (Rodney) Kick. Family will be present for Memorial Visitation on Thursday, March 5 from 4-7PM at the PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME 1671 Maple Rd., Williamsville. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Friday March 6 at 11:30AM from St. Mary's Main Church in Swormville, NY. Bill will be laid to rest with his wife Patricia in the WNY National Cemetery in Corfu, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name may be made to the Habitat for Humanity Buffalo.
