Alexander “Sasha” Radutny was born in Nikolayev, Ukraine on February 13, 1950, to Polina and Konstantin Radutny. He was the second oldest of 4 siblings, Tamara, Ludmila and Igor. He married Irina on New Year’s Eve in 1977 and welcomed Vladimir as their son in 1978. After immigrating to Chicago in 1989, he worked very hard at numerous jobs to support and care for his family. He had a tremendous amount of energy, was incredibly handy around the house, renovating and building an extension to his own home, he loved gardening, helping friends and neighbors and enjoyed reading, before Alzheimer’s took that away. He loved his family, he loved his birth country Ukraine and his adopted country USA, he loved to travel and was full of life.
Alexander was the beloved husband of Irina; devoted father of Vladimir (Yelena Spector) Radutny; proud grandfather of Ronit, Asher, and Samuel; caring brother of Ludmila, Igor, and the late Tamara; dear uncle of Oleg, Konstantin, Marta, Ludmila, and Sergei; cherished cousin and friend of many.
Friends and family will gather for a funeral service Monday, October 9th, at 1 PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Boulevard, Wilmette, Illinois. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
