Uncle Al was in town when a water main broke at my little white house in Brooksville. I was only 20 but a homeowner. It must have been 1998 or 99. This was before he had surgery on his legs/hips. He was not so agile at that time. We went to the hardware store and road around (cracking up) on one of those electric scooters. Back home with all the supplies, I was under the house receiving step-by-step instructions on how to fix the galvanized steel pipe break. He then told me what to tell the city when they arrived on Monday. He did shut the water off at the street, but broke the lever. Whatever he told me to say, worked. They replaced the whole box! Great water pressure! I have several of these stories. It's incredible that I have so many when we only lived in the same town for about 5 years total!

My dear brother Allen, you were the king of chocolate sundaes!!! I loved those years of babysitting because I knew, on Saturdays, we would get ice cream sundae with tons of Chocolate syrup, whipped cream piled really high, topped with nuts and a maraschino cherry. Sometimes we would have banana splits. On Sunday mornings you would go to the bagel shop up the street and bring back warm bagels with lox and cream cheese! You put a lot into my growing years, I LOVE YOU AL!! LOOKING FOWARD TO SEEING YOU AGAIN!!
