Allen Rubin, 82, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Highland Park, Illinois; beloved husband of the late Noreen; loving father of Julie Yusim and Ron (Risa) Rubin; loving grandpa of Alexis (Michael) Elman, Max Yusim, Jami and Jared Rubin; loving brother of the late Ina (Morton) Shulman and survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; preceded by dear parents, Harold and Bess Rubin.
Allen was a successful business entrepreneur and executive in the clock and consumer electronics industries. He enjoyed spending time with family and his beloved dogs. He was a loving father and grandfather and adored his grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved watching movies. Allen was a life coach and mentor for many loving friends whom he guided through challenges. He loved reading, listening to music, playing the drums, family celebrations, movies and traveling the world with his loving wife. Allen was deeply in love with his wife Noreen of 61 years and was heartbroken at her recent unexpected passing.
A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, 1:30 p.m. at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, Illinois 60091. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 West Montrose Ave, Norridge, Illinois 60706, followed by Shiva at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be streamed live.
