Allyson Bass

Allyson was the loving daughter of the late Lucille and Ivan Himmel and Manny Green. Her younger brother, Larry Green, and father to her children, Marty Weiner, predeceased her. She lost her cherished husband Mark Bass to cancer six years ago. Allyson is survived by her devoted and loving sons Marc and Michael Weiner, her granddaughters Shay and Dylan Weiner, her siblings Jeffrey Himmel (Cindy), Joan Himmel Freeman (Rickey) and Scott Himmel (Deborah).

Allyson was known for her exceptional taste and talent in woman’s fashion for over 40 years. She was the proud owner of Frances Heffernan in Winnetka. Her life’s passion was to beautifully dress her customers, many of whom, became her closest and dearest friends. Allyson treated her employees like family, and the feeling was mutual. She will be terribly missed.

Burial will be at Oakwoods Cemetery, 1035 E 67th Street, Chicago IL on Sunday, November 23, at 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home 111 Skokie Blvd. Wilmette, IL at 1:00 p.m. Shiva will be at Briarwood Country Club 355 Deerfield Road, Deerfield, Il immediately following the service.
