Alma Morrison

Alma Sylvia Morrison, 94, beloved daughter of the late Julian and Clara Pitzele; best friend and "love of his life" to the late Al Miripol; devoted mother of Gail Newman and Robert (Vickie) Morrison; proud grandmother of Staci (Dr. Matt) Parsons, Eric Reed (Alex Negrete), and David Morrison; adored great-grandmother of Maya and Jonah Parsons; dear sister of the late Elyse (the late Marvin) Spinner; cherished aunt of Richard, Donald, and Todd Spinner. Alma was a dutiful daughter to her parents - she was always there for them. She was a great artist, an excellent sewer, and had a strong-willed character. She was a college graduate from the University of Illinois. Throughout her career as an educator, she touched many lives. She will be greatly missed by many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Funeral services will be held at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL.
