Ardis Sophian, nee Bakal, 64. Beloved wife of 42 years to Larry; devoted daughter of Beverley and the late Ted Bakal; cherished sister-in-law of Jeff (Nancy) Sophian; caring aunt of Jason (Caitlin) Sophian; dear daughter-in-law of the late Leonard and Loretta Sophian. Ardis was a longtime valued lab technician for Advocate Health. After retiring, she donated her time and skills to several organizations: Senior Health Insurance Program, AARP, and Read to Learn, among others. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral service Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1:30 PM, at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette. It will also be streamed.
