Calvin D. Kanter

Calvin D. Kanter, 1930-2021. Cal was a respectful, caring, intelligent, and charitable family man who befriended everyone he met. Cal spent his entire career at Equitable Life. He was an agency manager and president of the Old Guard. Throughout his career he mentored many future successful agents. Cal was proud of his Jewish heritage and a member of multiple congregations over the years. He was a Golden Giver to the JUF. Cal was the son of Anna and Isadore Kanter. Cal leaves behind Carole, his cherished wife and partner of 68 years; son Craig (Robbi) Kanter and daughter Beth Kanter; grandchildren Jordan (Melissa) Kanter, Ross Kanter, and Elisa (Brian) Tucker; and great-grandchildren Grace and Anna Kanter and Miles Tucker. Cal also dearly loved and was loved by his siblings, many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and business associates. Cal's warmth, good humor, and love will live in our hearts forever.
