Carol Xenia Melnick

Carol Xenia Melnick (nee Brenner), age 91, daughter of the late Nathan G. Brenner Sr. and the late Clara Hartman Brenner; sister to the late Nathan (Eleda) Brenner Jr. and the late Bruce Brenner; beloved mother of Elizabeth (Uzi) Avner, Michael (Lisette Willemsen) Melnick, Marianne (Keith) Ellenberger; grandmother to David Melnick, Ben Melnick, Amit (Irena) Avner, Inbal (Amitai Shemi) Avner, Asaf Avner and Brianna Thompson; great grandmother to Layla, Sinai and Oz; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 8th at 2 p.m., at the Memorial Park Cemetery 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie. The family will sit Shiva at the Lodge (2220 Founder's Drive, Northbrook) on Sunday July 10th from 1-5 pm. Later in life, she was a creative designer in her Feather Factory business. Her kindness and generosity to her friends, neighbors animals and even perfect strangers will be always remembered. She will be sorely missed.
