Deborah Lynn Weinstein

She was a recent resident of Elmhurst, Illinois, residing in Chicago, Illinois and then Flossmoor, Illinois all of her adult life. When she was younger she lived in Israel and worked on a kibbutz in the tomato house. She never liked tomatoes after that!

Debbie enjoyed mahjong, needlepoint and was a voracious reader. She was a very active member of her temple participating in choir, traveling players, Showstoppers and anything else temple needed her help with. She was even a member of temple's rock 'n roll band, The Red Sea Pedestrians. Allan and Debbie enjoyed entertaining their family and friends making great use of their pool and lake house.

Debbie is survived by her daughters Michelle (Toby) Miller, Kimberly (Tim) Callahan, Amy (Shawn) Baldwin; Her grandchildren Riley and Sonni Miller, Harper Callahan and Melody, Clark and Olivia Baldwin; and her brother Jules Shapiro. She was predeceased by her Husband Allan Weinstein, her parents Sheldon and Ethel Shapiro and her brother Danny Shapiro.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Westlawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 7801 West Montrose Avenue, Norridge, Illinois 60706, on November 25, 2025, starting at 1:30 pm.

A Shiva will take place at the Zimmerman Residence, 3117 Alexander Crescent, Flossmoor, Illinois 60422. A Minyan Service will begin at 7:00 PM on November 25, 2025, with visiting hours from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
