Donald Smason

Donald Edward Smason, 91, passed away peacefully on April 10th, 2024. Don was born in Los Angeles in 1933 to Frieda and Joseph Smason. After graduating from Sullivan High School, Don went on to own a successful printing business for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, Chicago sports, working in his yard, and spending time with family. One of his greatest joys was getting to travel with his loving wife Bernie.

Don was the devoted husband to the late Bernadine Smason (nee Ancel) and is survived by his son Steven (Traci) Smason, granddaughter Jordan (Michael) Schroeder, grandson Eric (Rachel) Smason, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Don was preceded in death by his brother George (June) Smason and his daughter Janet Smason.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family.
