Dorothy was born in Gary, Indiana in 1932, and will always be remembered as the loving wife to the late Selig Bernstein, and devoted mother to Philip (Teresa), Paul (Estadare), and Janet and husband Scott Berry. Dorothy was an adoring grandmother to Jaclyn and Camden Berry, and Brendon Bernstein.
Dorothy took special joy in, and was, a very accomplished singer, pianist, actress, and loved entertaining people through the years. She was an avid performer in the community theatre, various choral groups, and concert choirs.
In addition to being a wonderful mom, grandmother, and performer, Dorothy held several secretarial positions, and was a legal secretary for her son, Philip. She was very proud of her excellent accounting, typing, and shorthand skills.
Dorothy was especially proud of all of her grandchildren, had high hopes for their futures, and often expressed her amazement regarding Jaclyn and Camden's accomplishments in the field of medicine. She was extremely excited for Jaclyn's upcoming wedding to Reed Adair only a few days away.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Sylvia Joseph, and cherished brother David Kaplan.
