Eileen Zigman

Eileen was the cherished mother of Ron (Joan) Zigman and Roberta Rehor; loving grandmother of Sarah (Brian), Rebecca (James), Jennifer, Danny, Michelle (Brandon) and Kathleen (Ryan); adored great-grandmother of Ben, Jack, Hank, Brooks, Oliver, Wyatt, Chloe, Gabriella and Miles; sister of Al (Sharon) Oberlander; and aunt to Lisa, Renee and Robin.

Eileen was born in the United States and raised in Argentina, where she developed her lifelong love of language, culture, and history. She inspired generations of students as a devoted Spanish teacher and was a proud recipient of the Golden Apple Award for Teaching Excellence.

A lifelong learner and world traveler, Eileen found joy in exploring new places, meeting people, and sharing her stories. Above all, she cherished her family who will forever remember her warmth, humor, and unconditional love.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025, 9:00 AM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Eileen’s lifelong passion for learning.
